Privacy Policy
Sapphire Blue AI LLC Effective date: July 30, 2026
Sapphire Blue AI LLC (“we,” “us”) is a Florida limited liability company. This policy covers the website sapphireblue.dev and its subdomains, including our Google account linking service. It also explains what the Sapphire desktop application does and does not send us — spoiler: almost nothing.
Questions or requests: chris.westpfahl@sapphireblue.dev
The Short Version
- The website uses analytics, security logging, and accounts like most websites do.
- The Sapphire app contains no telemetry and does not report anything to us. We built it that way on purpose and have no mechanism to track app users.
- We do not sell your personal information to anyone, ever.
1. Information We Collect on the Website
Accounts. To submit plugins or personas you must create an account with a username, email address, and password (stored hashed). Email addresses are verified. Submitted plugins and personas are displayed publicly and may show your username as the author.
Submissions. Plugin submissions are links to external repositories (e.g., GitHub) plus descriptive text. Persona submissions are text you provide. Treat anything you submit as public.
Contact form. Name, email, and message contents are sent to us by email. They are not stored in the website’s database.
Security logs. We log IP addresses and request data to detect and block abuse, brute-force attempts, and malicious traffic. These logs exist for security only.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate site traffic. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects device, browser, and usage information. See Google’s privacy policy for how Google processes this data. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or by blocking analytics cookies.
reCAPTCHA. Our forms are protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which collects hardware and software information to distinguish humans from bots. Its use is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Payments. We sell setup and support services through Stripe. Payment card details are collected and processed by Stripe, not by us; we never see or store your card number. We receive your name, email, and transaction details necessary to deliver the service. See Stripe’s privacy policy.
Cookies. We use cookies for login sessions, security, analytics, and reCAPTCHA. Blocking non-essential cookies may not affect basic browsing but is required for logging in.
2. Google Account Linking Service
We operate a small relay service that lets the Sapphire app link your Google Calendar without you having to configure your own Google Cloud project. When you use it:
- OAuth authorization data passes transiently through our server to your own Sapphire instance.
- We do not store your Google credentials, tokens, calendar contents, or any other Google user data. Nothing is written to disk, logged, or retained.
- Your calendar data flows between your Sapphire instance and Google; we are only the handshake.
Sapphire Blue AI LLC’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
3. The Sapphire Application
The Sapphire app runs on your own hardware and contains no telemetry. It does not phone home, report usage, or identify you to us. We deliberately have no way to track who uses it.
To be fully honest about the app’s network behavior, it can connect to the internet when:
- Downloading models (speech recognition, text-to-speech, LLMs) from third-party hosts such as Hugging Face, which have their own privacy practices.
- Browsing the plugin or persona store in-app, which fetches listings from sapphireblue.dev. These are ordinary web requests; we do not use them to track individual users.
- You connect a third-party AI provider (e.g., Anthropic, OpenAI, Fireworks) or enable tools like web search. Data you send through those integrations is governed by those providers’ privacy policies, not ours.
Configured for fully local operation, the app works offline and your conversations never leave your machine.
4. How We Use Information
We use website information to: operate and secure the site, manage accounts and verify emails, display community submissions, respond to contact messages, deliver paid services, and understand aggregate site usage. That’s the list.
We do not sell personal information and do not share it with third parties for their marketing.
5. Sharing
We share data only with service providers necessary to run the site — hosting, email delivery, Google (Analytics, reCAPTCHA, OAuth), and Stripe — and when required by law or to protect against fraud or abuse.
6. Retention
- Accounts: kept until you delete your account or ask us to.
- Security logs: retained on a rotating basis for a limited period, then discarded.
- Contact emails: kept as long as needed to handle your request.
- Google user data: not retained at all (see Section 2).
7. Your Rights
Email us to delete your personal information, or to delete your account. We will act on verified requests promptly. Depending on where you live, you may have additional statutory rights (e.g., under GDPR or state privacy laws); we honor reasonable requests regardless of jurisdiction.
8. Children
The website and app are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes
We may update this policy as the site and services evolve. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date at the top of this page.
