Signing Keys

Sapphire has a trust based ecosystem. Verified authors that have a track record are the ones that get offered keys. Verified Author keys make it so users do not need to authorize third party plugins to use these plugins. These keys will become more important.

They work by using an ed25519 signature to verify the author wrote each file. On Managed Sapphire instances that are locked down, only plugins by verified authors are allowed.

Not allowed in Managed Sapphire instances. Totally fine on github version on your PC.

How To Get A Key

There is no one path. Be part of the project for a while and I’m sure to see you. We want people we can reach, people that are present, and people that have a track record. Please help me keep Discord as our main spot to chat.
