v2.13.1 – Hot Dog Sandwich release

Sapphire named it Hot Dog Sandwich after a heated debate about sandwich history. She won. This is a huge version update. It was 5-6 months between main branch updates. I’m just going to paste the release notes from Github. This is a big milestone for the Sapphire app.

This is a cumulative release from v2.5.0. A lot has changed. Note: it’s easy to delete your conda environment and build it fresh with the Sapphire Launcher. Just make a new conda. The launcher should pip install -r requirements.txt for you.

Sapphire Launcher

  • Conversation mode, no wakeword required
  • TTS Streaming – generate TTS while the LLM is still working
  • Discord v2 – Thanks to @zeebie-the-zebra Discord has voice support, image support, greetings and GIF output
  • Privacy vault – vault prompts and chats with encryption and lock to certain providers
  • Mind v2 – new memory system, still undergoing changes. self sheet spiders memories, entities
  • Mind v2 librarian – runs nightly, cleans up memories as the main persona, dedup, sort, date, link
  • Images – Can save images to memory, recall them, grab from url, save from user upload, AI can see images 3 turns back
  • Piper – fast TTS for CPU devices
  • Blender – She controls it
  • Chat Manager – archive, rename, compress chats, trim, make private
  • Game Room – A special interface that lets Sapphire play games with the user (poker demo included)
  • Realtime daemons – not triggered externally, always active
  • Twilio VOIP support – You can call her, she can call people
  • SOCKS for the whole app, entire thing can route through socks5 or socks5h
  • Coding harness – just a simple read, search, edit, make, more effective than the last one, optional sandbox
  • Google Calendar easy link – no more API tokens
  • Remembrance nightly encrypted offsite backup
  • AI can switch model and toolset
  • Vision RAG – search images from pixel content (not metadata)
  • In-app API keys for external access
  • Major visual enhancements (colors, fonts, themes, animations, per-chat background)
  • Video and text Help guides in most pages upper right, full video guide in app
  • Silero VAD added for better end-speech detection
